Tree Trunks
Tree trunks, tree trunks,
Everywhere I looked.
They supported the tree.
They supported the forest.
Their forest they belonged to,
Was made of mist.
The tree's leaves attested that,
It was true.
Squirrels ran up and down,
With their soft paws on the trunk.
The forest was their home too.
The squirrels ate their food.
This forest full of trunks,
Was the precious home of many,
Animals and plants.
The tree trunks were their home.
