Sky Tears Poem by The Night Wanderer

Sky Tears

Grey sky
And tumbling clouds
Enveloping the suns glow
The patter of rain
As the sky cries
Tears of sorrow
For the parched land
That was previously green
once beautiful
Slowly natures beauty is being destroyed

Her breath raw
And forced
As her chest rises
And falls
Under her rain sodden shirt
She stands
With mud encrusted legs
And goose bumbs raised on her shivering arms
In the freezing down pour
And despite all this
Life courses through her veins
Filling every inch of her
With hope and anticipation
For the future
That will be hers
And the other youths
That shiver together in the rain
That plummets to earth
From the grey sky
And rolling clouds
