Slave Girl Poem by Isabel.A Pearl

Slave Girl

Amidst the smoke,
The blood, bones, filth
The tortured souls of damned

The tower stands,
Eerie, tall
With fumes
This no man’s land

Rusted chains
A hardened heart
A beauty
Waves of black

Eyes accustomed
To it all
Death,
No longer scared

Behind her,
Nothing can be seen
As she crosses the dark-
Stone land

Mist and sewage
Bones, ashes, sweat
She walks with battered breath

Her master looms
Gigantic beast,
A tough scaled creature
Clawed and teethed

It watches,
Keen eye
Behind the tower
Massive, huge, a beast

He hovers enormous, almost leveled
With the fog swallowed keep

At present
To her
Means no harm
Unless he sees
She tries to run

He thinks she dares
But she knows not
The land is empty, vast and dark.

Here where evil never sleeps,
Only one thing will change.
You either live by given laws
Or die, and die again.
