Sleep Not As The World

Worldwide, walking dead are sleeping
Obliviously blind
To devils zealously reaping
Duped souls of lost mankind

Although God's handwork's plain to see
Throughout life, can be heard
Salvation remains a mystery
To sinners, quite absurd

Through wisdom's eyes knowledge is seen
God's Word fast to adhere
Without Jesus to intervene
Fools ignorant, scoff and jeer

Blessed are we few, who Life' s Way know
Who grace Heaven bestowed
Who's heart God's love has set aglow
Removing, hell's grave load

How long was I selfish dreaming
In the devil's filthy hand
Till inside alive now gleaming
On God's Promise to stand

On Christ alone I've made my choice
Through faith I've understood
I've love, I've grace, I've heard God's voice
Washed in Life's Crimson Flood

Now old, long grey, with open eyes
Ears keen as can be
No one can tell me otherwise
Christ Jesus set me free

So awake lost souls, still falling
Think on these words you see
Accept you! The Lord God is calling
Just as He called sinful me.....
