Smile & Smile Again

In blistering heat torrential rain
Struggling day and night
I’m smiling at the storm again
Fighting the righteous fight

What have I done or said that’s wrong?
That darkness wields its sword
Could troubles rise to make me strong?
And victory’s my reward

Will God not stretch His mighty arm?
Demand the wind be still
Direct the storms of life to calm
And bow to Heaven’s will

On Calvary’s cross I’ve placed my sin
My hope and faith is there
So now I know I’ll always win
Whilst Jesus’ cup I share

Eternal King and Prince of peace
My Saviour Lord and friend
Creator God who’ll never cease
His children to defend

But am I in that state of grace?
Where heart and soul are free?
Finding myself within the place?
My Father’s face to see!

For still life’s storms are raging wild
Battering left and right
I pray my God, for this Your child
Turn darkness into Light

Let all I am be sacrificed
Let faith become my crown
Let love and strength through Jesus Christ
Cause doubt to crumble down
