My mind and pen is dry
To understand our problems
How they came or why
To you I can say one thing
Which I know is true
With the first breath that you took
My soul belonged to you
And soon my precious child
You'll be back in my arms
In the shelter of your first home
Peaceful sleeping safe from harm
