I'll always love your mother
Despite the things she's done
As you've filled my soul with stardust
Wrapped in moonbeams full of fun
You've the empathy of angels
With eyes brighter than the sun
It was six hours from your first breath
When I held you in our home
You filled the rooms with sunshine
And more joy I've ever known
I love to watch you sleeping
Your face caressed by the moon
Or when you wake from bad dreams
And come running to my room
I understand now one thing
As I've watched you grow
We don't live in a house
But at the end of a rainbow
