Can you look me in the eyes
And tell me it is not true?
That we're drifting away slowly...
We're losing what we had, me and you?
Can you hide it in your voice,
or the way you word your emotions?
Can you tell that it's all fading,
our sweet friendship, the devotion?
My heart aches to see you go.....
But it's the best that I can do
I'm tired of awkward conversations
That are nothing like we're used to
I can't help but let the tears
Fall with grief and ridden with pain
I can't help but mourn the loss
Of something that won't come again
