THE MOTHER OF PONDICHERRY

Mira was in a state of confusion,
Hardly when she was twenty then,
While searching for, in that tender age,
The pathway to spiritual knowledge.

She met an Indian by chance,
When she was staying IN Paris,
Who advised her just as a guide,
"Bhagavad Gita" lessons to read.

She went thru' the book then,
Published in French translation,
That touched deeply her heart,
And it woke up her inner spirit.

She saw many spiritual persons,
During meditation closing her eyes,
Of whom she saw a dark figure
Maybe it appeared as Krishna to her,

She searched here and there,
For that Krishna, the dark figure,
But none suited in her vision,
Similar to her-dream-person.

At last, she had found one,
A similar person later on,
A citizen of Pondicherry Town
Sri Aurobindo, the God-man.

She said, "It is He, My Krishna, "
Who spoke in "Bhagavad Gita, "
In the midst of a battlefield,
Born again to set right this world.

Her marriage was not a success,
But it ended finally in a divorce,
Soon after her first son was born,
To marry another politician again.

His name was Paul Richard,
Who turned as a bad husband
And left him after twelve years,
As she couldn't mend his ways.

In her opinion, this world was ruled,
By four devils from the start to end,
As Lord of Death, Lord of Nations,
Lord of Suffering and Lord of Darkness.
