At the time I give mine to you
A returned gesture
One full of truth.

I have not seen
Nor do I know
You as a person
Never laid eyes on you before.

What I am aware of
A beating heart lyes within oneself
Souls that feel
Quite like myself.

I am not asking
Nor inviting you to my house
Even need your trust
Acknowledgement does count.

Just a smile
Recognition sought
Feelings spirited
Rejuvenation free and not bought.
