Smiles From A Heart Poem by jimmy manganda

Smiles From A Heart

Rating: 5.0

I look in the mirror and I see a reflection,
Of a smiley black face because you showed me affection,
You're a winner in my eyes but never ask for any attention,
My heart smiles for you; you give me a sense of direction

I remember as a child all the love that surrounded me,
All the times my health was on a low and you cared for me,
I kneel and say a prayer so no harm comes your way,
I smile from the heart, knowing you are my mother, every day

Never phased by the troubles that the world brings your way,
The strongest person walking this crooked earth today,
A perfect being in my eyes, so modest and so free,
I smile from my heart, for your love is always with me

Fearless like a warrior queen from the heavens,
Never unsure about your morals, always certain,
I dare not choose wrong from right, you taught me better,
Your smile so warm, like a knitted sweater

You're unique in your ways like sunshine in the rain,
You're special in your being, like an angel's diamond chain,
When I was down, seeing you would lift my spirits to the sky,
And my heart would break a smile, and my eyes would soon be dry

I love you with all my heart and would walk the world for you,
I don't say it enough but I swear anything you ask I would do,
You loved me before you met me you're a star in my eyes,
In my heart I smile, for you're my heavenly prize

No award is special enough for the things that you have done,
No words in all the languages for how I feel about being your son,
Anybody should be thankful just to be in your presence I swear,
I smile from my heart, you are my world my dear.

I love you mum!
