Snowman! ! Poem by Stephanie Moore

When the snow is gently falling
It hits the ground so softly
The children wake up and run to the windows
Now its time to swiftly run down the stairs
You get your coat and boots, put on your hat and mittens
The door opens with rage

Outside as you stand your tongue is catching the snowflakes
You can only see your foot steps
As you pick up the snow and roll it into a ball
You have a thought
Now it is time to make a snowman for the first time

All the snow being lifted from the ground
One ball, then the second, then the third
You put the carrot nose, the buttons,2 for eyes and 4 for the coat
Sticks on the arms, and the broom on the side
Now it is time for the final preparation to finalize the snowman

You walk in then out of the house
As you walk to the snowman you slide over a patch of ice
Get up look at the snowman and gently place the hat on the top of the head
Now you are even happier then you first woke up
Its an experience of a life time to make a snowman for the first time
Just hope that someday you will be able to make your own
