On seeing her for the first time,
I got bowled over
On seeing her,
So charming and attractive,
So lovely and beautiful was she.
A balsam,
White, pink or grey,
So fresh, so fair,
Looked she, appeared to be
That I could not avert my gaze.
And having looked her, felt I disturbed inwardly,
It ached the heart
And the pains tore it apart
But somehow consoled I my broken self
After digressing from and diverting myself.
Was she a balsam or a maid, I could not believe it,
A flower or a girl,
So beautiful, so lovely,
So fair, so fresh and so fine
Was she,
Looking so charming and attractive
That even retreating back, I could not, could not forget her,
That ladylove,
Pink, grey or white, say you?
