Though I see you
Most every day
It's not for real
It's not the way

It's forbidden
All of the time
It's unbidden
I claw and climb

I strive for that
Which I cant hold
Despite my love
Which stayed untold

You know what I'm
Now going through
You cant say it's
Excluding you

The deadline draws
Painfully close
I long to say
What I love most

It burns my heart
To see this go
And know that I
Lost what I know

In my last breaths
I wish for fun
I want to be
With that someone

It's you I love
Loved every day
I long to hear
Those words you say

I want to hope
You feel the same
And yet that thought
Puts me to shame

You're so close
And yet
So far
Out of grasp

Just one rose
