So Close, But Not Enough Poem by Alley Breines

So Close, But Not Enough

It travels down my cheek,
I can't hold it any longer.

Wall to wall I look around to find what I seek,
No matter where, what I need doesn't exist.

All alone not knowing who to turn to,
Without hesitating you look to see if in the end,
It's all worth wanting what's not in your reach.
