So Long Of Ending - Poem by Michael Timothy Rose

I don’t know
If this one will end it
Like a wave
With its current that will pull me under
And drown
These poems,
Or like a drought,
Which, after so long, will finally starve me to my demise
And catch these loose-leaf cages on fire, smoldering
And becoming ash.
