So Much Brighter Poem by Rachelle Leger

So Much Brighter

So much brighter.

VERSE 1 -

How could you see, what you’ve done to me?
you’re all the way there, with not one stare.
It’s breaking my heart to know, you don’t care.
Well, I’m just here alone, like a fool on the road,
thinking “What do I do? How do I cho-ose? ”
It’s hard to believe, that you meant so much to me. Ooh.

BRIDGE -
But, now I’m only telling the truth,
a person like you could never destroy me,
and now I’m gonna make this right,
without even one single fi-i-ight.

CHORUS -

I’m falling apart, that smile is breaking my heart,
not helping to see it everyday.
I’m making a change, scared things wont be the same,
but it might have to be that way.
Would you stop me if I make a wrong turn, or catch me if I fall down in my mistakes?
It doesn’t matter what you say,
I’m still gonna love you the same old way…
and I know...It’s so much brighter now...
that I know, so much brighter now...
oh oh oh.

VERSE 2 -

I watch the sun as it rises, over the ocean.
Thinking maybe you too are looking at this view.
It made me believe, that I’m not quite over yo-o-ouu.

Now hold on a second, I’m into the moment.
Everyone listen, just one little listen.
Trying to make me believe instead, I’m falling for you again.

BRIDGE -

but now I’m only taking a chance,
A person like you would never retake me.
And now it’s time for one last glance,
and maybe this time you’ll look back at me.

CHORUS -

I’m falling apart, that smile is breaking my heart,
not helping to see it everyday.
I’m making a change, scared things wont be the same,
but it might have to be that way.
Would you stop me if I make a wrong turn, or catch me if I fall down in my mistakes?
It doesn’t matter what you say,
I’m still gonna love the same old way…
and I know...It’s so much brighter now...
that I know, so much brighter now...
and I know…It’s so much brighter now…
that I know, so much brighter now…

VERSE 3 (ending) -

How could you see, what you’ve done to me?
You’re all the way there, with not one stare.

It’s breaking my heart to know,
you don’t care.
