So Much To Live For Poem by Carlos P. Martinez

So Much To Live For

Rating: 0.5

As I lay there near the end, and my life was sinking low, A gentle voice came in and said, Son it ain't your time to go.
You've got so much to live for, and a short time to do it in. You've got someone who loves you; to give it up would be a sin.
As the lights were slowly fading and my life was sinking low, The gentle voice told me again, Son it ain't your time to go.
There's a little girl that needs you and a wife that loves you so. Son, you've got so much to live for; you've got to try, don't let it go.
I guess I'll never know whose voice I heard that day. I'm glad it spoke to me, or I would have passed away.
Yes, I'vegot so much to live for, and a short time to do it in. I've got so much to live for; to give it up would be a sin.
