So Sing The Song That Lovers Sing Poem by ANDREW BLAKEMORE

So Sing The Song That Lovers Sing

Rating: 2.9

If only we were made of stone
Our hearts would never break,
Alas we are but flesh and bone
And therefore we must ache.

But never let it show my friend
And prove you are not weak,
When all good things come to an end
It's joy you then must seek.

So greet the new day and be glad
Although your wounds lie deep,
And smile for then you can't be sad
Nor show the tears you weep.

So sing the song that lovers sing
Then pain can't linger on,
Fly like a bird upon the wing
Until your hurt has gone.
