Soap Poem by Akham Nilabirdhwaja Singh

Soap

Rating: 5.0

The soap
Washing the dirt.
Washing and washing
Soaps consumed
Yet the dirts
Have not gone
Rather it is increasing.
Then not more
Than an art
Washing is.

This is the first time that i read a unique poem entitled 'Soap'. We may wash with soap as much as possible but still the dirt remains. It is very difficult to wipe out the karma'of life, even if washed with different kinds of soaps. Excellent! Full Vote for you, Sir!

At least humans now have now started o think that they should wash their dirt. Though many great men gave so many laws of ethics but these laws were exploited for their imperialistic designs. A soap of ethics that may wash the dirt in the true sense is yet to be invented.

The poem seems to reveal the hypocrisy of people- from politicians to religious persons. They are supposed to cleanse the society of all evils but soon they too become a liability. Thanks, Akham ji.
