Sober Intent Poem by Meg H...

Sober Intent

I find myself once again
At the end of a line
Drowning myself in my own tears
And hours of wasted time
Conflict seem to suffocate me
And the hatred is getting worse
But the more I try to numb it all
The more it seems to hurt
Bloodshot eyes and broken skin
Are all I can count on now
I can't wish it all away
But I'll get rid of the pain somehow
Forlorn and reclusive
For a momentary thrill
And in the sedation I fall again
With a taunting intent to kill
