Sojourn In Spain Poem by John Sensele

Sojourn In Spain

Give me compassion and passion
Give me a heart in love fashion
Where on creatures big and small I pour love
Whether love flows from my my heart or from above

As long as I the jinx of complacency I break
If on no more women I inflict a heartbreak
That shrinks bliss
In spaces where mind peace

Vacates cos responsibility I abdicate
When love spaces I ought to fail to allocate
To women who hurt
More in the simple skirt

That implies simplicity
I can repel complicity
In nights I abused
In women I accused

When I let them down
Playing the Casanova in my town
Instead of healing the pain
They felt during our sojourn in Spain.
