Contemplating the world you face
As a soldier brave, and strong
The strength you find as you greet each day
Facing hardships you endure with fortitude
Questioning the gun you hold
Can you pull the trigger?
Should I question how and why?
The troubles of the world on your shoulders
Courage forges through your veins
Respect is certainly something you deserve
For all you do and more
While I sit here and wish for peace
You face the reality on a foreig shore
