Soldiers Life Poem by SandieagoHufe Daniel

Soldiers Life

Soldiers Life
When it is dark I stand
When the sun is up I land
Flying through the day with memories
Only to hit reality

Pay checks too small
Flying through the fog
With a commander who talks
To be able to live free
And visit ones close to me
Family too far to see
I only have a gun with me
To fight for liberty

I dream to see my kids
Across the world
Safe from danger
Killing others fills me with anger
I just want to live in peace
With no worries
Of the day
Ahead of me
