Soldiers Plights (Angels) Poem by Rik Bertrand

Soldiers Plights (Angels)

We are on a mission for our beloved country,
We are the protectors of our people and our freedom.
I kneel down before you, you know that I can see you,
And I ask for you to guide us through this Soldier Plight.

We are only the few of the many thousands
That walk, crawl, and run through the night
We step on landmines, and we die in useless rebel fights.
Oh, there are so many unknown worries in our Soldier Plights.

We all see the Angels that are walking by our side,
They are always sitting next to us they take the right seat ride.
They hold our hands when the pain is more than intense.
They encourage our survival and push us over that razor fence.

Angels, angels, angels, we thanks you so very much,
We thank you for your love, and your soft heavenly touch.
We know that you are guiding us through all these lonely nights
And protecting us the best you can during our Soldiers Plights

Tell the Lord that we do care, and that we are not afraid,
For he has provided you angels, and the path is now laid.
We know that our future is not cut in stone,
And that you have ensured that all we soldiers will always have a home.

REB (FEB 2012) GOD BLESS ALL THE SOLDIERS AND THE ANGELS
