Solution Poem by Diana van den Berg

When there are too many voices and opinions
and too much noise and stress
and too many commitments, dilemmas and required decisions
and requests for help
and panic and anxiety threaten loudly and demandingly,
and there appears not to be time
to philosophise, rationalise and strategise,
I take a moment,
usually with my son’s help,
to listen to the voice of wisdom
that God whispers to me,
often through my son,
and He gives me peace, understanding and direction
and oh, how that smiles my soul.
