Some People To Me
Some people to me in their honesty say
You have written so much stuff without reward or pay
When I tell them I've got a penning addiction they don't understand
They look at me as if my brains are of sand
Some even say of a penning addiction there is no such a thing
And how come the stuff that you write you do not even sing
But to them I don't even try for to explain
That I only pen for the love of it not for financial gain
If they think I'm an idiot well that suits me fine
What they think of me is their business not mine
I'm only saying what seems a fair thing to say
In saying we look at others in our own sort of way
A penning addiction with a shake of his head
He said of such a thing I've never heard of or read.
