Some Whimsy, Some Magic Poem by Kishore Asthana

Some Whimsy, Some Magic

I would like a lavender ocean
With gentle waves, crested with gold

I would like
two rainbows in the sky
So that one can rest
While the other shines

I would like flowers of light
With an afterglow in the night

I would like a falling star
To keep with me, as a loving pet

I would like the laughter of children
Playing afar
With pastel butterflies

I would like unlimited forgiveness
And nothing at all
To need it for

I would like and aura of peace
Beauty and warmth
A tranquil permanence

And then I can say
In my magic world
'I am man,
In the image of God'
