Someday Poem by Olujobi Jedidiahz

Someday

Someday the young shall grow
Suckling babes will turn crackers of bones
Someday tomorrow will cry no more
Abomination will never rear its ugly head
Someday the way forward will show its path
It will surface like the beautiful dawn.

Someday destruction will cease
Death- the carnivores will stop
Someday wars and tribulations a past
Misunderstanding will acknowledge mother’s call
Someday those dreams will realm reality
Someday your being will matter and be will be

Weary not, this moment training inevitable
From genesis to revelation furnace must pass through
To mount on wings as an eagle
Someday pains will turn gain
Ideas in school of nursing will graduate
And thy song of praise sang

Hakunamatata, o ye troubled!
Someday hunger will be fed
Sacrifice will bring abundance
Shouting and gnashing will respect tranquility
Then innocent child no longer suffer
Instead a new dance, must dance

Someday justice will rule with pride
That dirty game will turn haven of sincerity
Someday Lazarus crumbs won’t no more
Instead in Canaanland possess possession
Someday Naomi a mother again
Ruth favor will find in Boaz
Then Jesse will rule forever!

Someday agonies will cease to help
Joy of motherhood thy garment of fragrance
Someday broken heart,
Will pick up its shattered pieces
And the rejected stone
Forever the chief cornerstone

Someday truth will meet up with lies
Bribery and corruption far from our tent
Deceit and deception,
Wicked act by wicked mind
Will stop its poisonous veil
Then in love we’ll traveil

Someday that barren will experience fruitfulness
Then laughter never cease from Jabez nor Job
Someday all your needs will be met
Then won’t need to work in any’s shadow
For you dignity will never be truncated
‘cos the greatest of all dwells within.

Someday will birth oneday
Manifestation of you imagination a reality
Like they that dream dreams become
Then your praise all and sundry sing
‘cos truly your someday,
Oneday of glory birth

Someday monkey market goes
The eye of the feet blind to locate home
Journey from womb to tomb
Dust to dust, ashes for ashes
Then an end comes to life struggle.
Someday will turn oneday
And the son of man will take us home
