Someday Poem by penelope john

Dont know why they hate me,
dont know if i should try,
Im standing here, so confused,
with an incredible urge to cry.

Thought my friends would stand by me,
but i guess my instincts were wrong.
I will have to be here all alone,
helping myself with a sad song.

My tears are flowing slow and calm,
with no one to wipe them away.
My chest can barely hold my heart,
i pray it will all change someday,

I give away weak smiles
to keep my tears aloof from their sight,
but yet they just know where to look
and lets them know that they've won the fight.

I dont want to fight this away
I feel too weak to do so
I'll hide my sorrows and fears away
and I'll hope theyll never show.

I'll wait for the day
when things turn out my way
until then i guess Il'l lower my head
and just walk away..
