Someone Else's Heart Poem by Ray Hansell

Someone Else's Heart

Missing you so badly
Here by myself
I always stop and pause
To look at your picture on the shelf

I often stop and wonder
To myself what if
You were still here
Would I still feel like this?

I guess it's a question
Who's answer I'll never know
Because instead of me
It's someone else's heart you set aglow

The reader can feel the wistfulness as they read this poem- - It's palpable! Two of the strongest feelings we will ever experience are BETRAYAL (for injustice done v.s. us) , and REGRET (for where we failed, and 'messed up'.) A very well-written and reflective poem.
