endlessly searching
hoping to find
someone to call my lover
i'm a little blind
ain't pay much attention
to any of the signs

talked with plenty
dated so many
made a couple stupid moves
things just didn't go smooth

Until I met that very one
who hadn't realize
I was an exception to the rules
prematurely read into the signs

you just needed a wakeup call
so later you be able to fall
into my arms and be the one
I have been looking for all my life
