Someone Who Isn'T Me. Poem by Kirstie Barton Barton

Someone Who Isn'T Me.

Rating: 4.5

burn
here we go again
tears are falling fast
they’ve been in the making for so long

before I knew there was hope
but now I know we're done.
you can now put 'us' in the past
and never worry about hurting again.

im happy its finally over
and you can fly your wings
without ever thinking of me
who secretly stuck with penguin wings

for now I’ll just smile
die inside without speaking a word
while I watch you fall even more in love
with someone who isn’t me.
