Something Came Up Into My Mind... Poem by sahar alameddine

i asked the stars above in the dark sky: why do u exist just to light up our dark night?
the moon got jealous and replied: what about me i am here for u or ur forgot my bright?
the stars replied to the moon saying: u are our father how can she forget you?
i smiled and said: dear moon u are the one who shine my dreams when i get down i look at you

shiny stars and my dear moon u are those who listen while everyone is asleep
i look at you every night to cry and some days to weep
how could people forget that u really exist?
with you my dreams and my pain i split

the stars and the moon replied and said: my dear girl we're here to listen no matter what
god have made us so far in here to listen to ur dreams to share ur fears and to give u hope
life is hard we all know that just have some faith in yourself
