Something To Lift Your Face, Ms.Marie Poem by Leonard Dantzler

Something To Lift Your Face, Ms.Marie

Angel, Angel w/your smile off angle,
jaded heart, fading soul,
let him go and embrace me whole
your eyes are haunted with hurt,
I'd love to make you blush
Smile for the sunshine,
Titter with the moon,
laugh w/the darkness
giggle at the dawn
don't be proper,
cry if you need to,
laugh when you want
Scream at the wrong moments,
just because you want to
Laugh at a funeral,
just to shake the frowns into disgust
and others into laughter
Swim in the sand and sun bath in the ocean,
walk up to the clouds and sit on them as an up thrown throne thrown to it's highest peak
Peak in to the eyes of the eyeful youth and find life in their dying eyes and give them reason
Reason w/Reason to be My reason, lord knows you are my reason now
Now find me in the past, this the future, so the past is present, and that is now
Where Are We, Nikki Marie?
