Sometimes Poem by Renee Marie

Sometimes

The total eclipse of the moon is of NO significance
to someone, tonight.
The heart is eclipsed by shock.
The eyes sting from a laser gone wild then
aimed with precision!
Right at that moment between
awe and surrender where rage fuels action
sometimes, Cancer doesn't win!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
tonight there is a 'Blood Red' eclipse of the moon.It is 7: 45 pm in Sacramento, CA and in Connecticut it is 10: 45 pm.I am writing a poem, my Sister is grieving the terrible reality of her beautiful 5-yr old Son diagnosed with Neuroblastoma. The natural world was once a healing treasure to her and tonight, I sense, she cannot be delighted by Mother Nature.
