Sometimes I Wander Poem by Holly Jacobs

Sometimes I Wander

Rating: 3.0

Sometimes I wander
into the back of my mind
and find a cave to dwell in
to figure out a mystery
or finally be happy
I never know what I'll find.

Sometimes I see
the pain of empty spaces
of the things I've failed to learn
or the chances I've never taken
but I never know what I'll find.

Sometimes I try
to push away emotions
and look strong for the other.
Other times I'll unearth a rare,
convincing grin
that makes everything seem okay
Most times,
I never know what I'll find.

Sometimes I look to the future
trying to find faces I'll remember
and friends I'll have forever.
I'll see the light
and other times the dark
but no matter what I see
I'll make it out alive.
Even on these days
I never know what I'll find.
