Song For Drake Sstanlee Owens

SONG FORDRAKE STANLEE OWENS
GRANDSON ofKate MOORE30-MAY-2018

Once upon a time, there was a special boy,
Born into our world, his mama's pride and joy.
He wasn't in a hurry, he really took his time,
And then........what really happened,
Went from crazy to sublime.
His HEART began to flatline, so to theatre he MUST go,
Not a second to be wasted, so his LIFE SOURCE, would still flow.
The surgeons were awaiting, to save this little mite,
Then his lungs took on a downward dive,
Now the team were in full-flight........
From where, did this young warrior,
Find the strength to fight, we will never know I guess,
But he did..........with all his might.
So quickly hooked up, to life support, and prayed he'd choose, tostay.
Cause his brother waited anxiously, to come home and laugh and play.
Then with divine intervention, a MIRACLEoccurred this day.
The equipment began to whirr, as all involved began to pray,
Twenty minutes......later, as he awoke, from sleep,
There was a pulsing in the room, and his heart began to beat.
His lungs began to shudder, spontaneous breathing wasthe pace.
Doctors sighed profound relief, of a MIRACLE, that just took place.
All the room was smiling, His father, close at hand.
His mama, still was sleeping, not knowing, the news was grand
With tears, on every face. the professionals pulled him thru.
Another day in surgery, SUCCESS, to the team in blue.
