This theme reminds me of Mahler's SONG THE EARTH, settings of Li Bai poems.All six of the poems show patterns being repeated. The lonely woman, friends parting, the poet getting drunk, the seasons turning. And nit takes us humans a lifetime of repetitions to finally understand at the end - LIFE IS A CIRCLE.. Multiple beginnings and endings folding into each other for 80 to 100 years.
