Songs Of Humanity Sing I Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

Songs Of Humanity Sing I

Songs of humanity and humanism,
World love
Sing I
And many a lesson have I learnt in life
Remaining half-fed, half-clothed,
Seeing poverty in the midst of plenty,
Philosophy and poetry extracting it all,
Situations and circumstances beating it,
Times so hard
And bearing the brunt of time and the slaps of fate
Which reversed it
I found myself lonely and alone
In the house
Which was peopled by many once,
There was none nowhere to give food to
In the same house
People were not,
Resources were
But none was to maintain and take care of,
Nights hung it heavy upon
To reminisce
What I got,
What I not.
