Sonnet 2 Poem by Biwot Kevin

Sonnet 2

I wrote thy name on the waters of the sea
But why? The water did evaporate
But still it wasn’t a dream by me
Thy crystal beautiful name to forget
So I wrote thy name on the sands of earth
But why? The wind blew the sand away
But still conquered I was by heavenly mirth
For in my memory forever you will stay
So I wrote thy name in my heart so feeble
In perfect calligraphy not a nursery scribble
But still the wind and the heat of their voices came
But off they went to hide their shame
For none will ever from me erase
The memories of your beauty, of thy pretty face
