Sonnet: A Thanksgiving Prayer For The Miracle Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: A Thanksgiving Prayer For The Miracle

O God of goodness, mercy and of love!
We thank You for the miracle You've done;
Your angel keeps vigil from above;
The powerless devils clan is on the run.

We thank You, Lord for lease of life anew;
Our brother's heart is pumping once again;
The surgeons gave conduits for blood, some new;
Our family prayers have not gone in vain!

Do heal the by-passes and make them strong;
My brother's life is out of stake for now;
And may the heart pump steadily for long!
In thanksgiving, our heads to Thee, we bow.

Almighty God, from hearts, we thank Thee Lord!
We promise Thee to keep Thy Will and Word.
Dedicated to our beloved big brother, Er. Shri. A. Joebert Selvan M.E., Chennai,
Who is on the road to recovery, after a major by-pass surgery.
