Sonnet: Covid- 19 (Sars Cov-2) Pandemic Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: Covid- 19 (Sars Cov-2) Pandemic

Rating: 5.0

A novel virus leaked from virus lab
From Wuhan, China spread all o'er the world,
Has caused the death of persons; tough to nab,
It put all global works on sudden hold.

Corona virus has spread very fast
Through droplets, fomites - by mouth, eyes and nose;
It caught all nations by surprise, aghast;
And victims hit, the young and old are worse.

No anti-viral drug can cure those ill;
Rich nations can't prevent the deaths so rife;
The virus spares no one on land, sea, hill;
Despite efforts, 'tis tough to save a life!

While scientists work to find a vaccine soon,
The world has halted; 'tis a bane, not boon!
