Sonnet For The World

I want to write a sonnet for the world
I want it to make you feel warm and cold
one where you can whisper and still be heard
treat it like a child, it is born, and hold
it so it becomes yours and not just mine
speak it like a prophet and pass it down
it is not a man who has done a crime
nor should it be lost when at last its found
it should open doors, it should give your chance
to question all the things you do not know
it should be the answer for ignorance
taking you places that you want to go
it should be a sonnet to save us all
only I wait for my angel to call.
