Sonnet: God Always Wins Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: God Always Wins

The way things happen much confounds our minds;
Both good and bad men meet similar ends;
Most vibrant society to halt just grinds;
The dictator to destiny still bends.

Experienced astrologers can fail;
All predictions of elections are farce;
Good men and bad, societies surely hail;
But righteous beings are ones somewhat scarce.

Fear enters hearts of nations although brave;
Belief in God does dither when strife strikes;
The civilized like men in caves behave;
Keeps changing common man's likes and dislikes.

All things go on per plans of God always;
Amend must evil men, their sinful ways.
