Sonnet: Happy Birthday, Dear Child
Your birthday comes another time in life –
A time to make your heart gladder in strife;
God’s plans for you are far better than yours;
He does them elegantly and with poise.
Worrying today can’t usher morrows good;
Most things are perishable like stale food;
Meet life as it unfolds with hurdle-thorns;
Remind yourself of those deformed new-borns!
God blessed you amply in so many ways;
He will do so throughout your life-span’s days;
Just put your trust and pray to Him from heart;
Our burdens heavier, He will surely cart.
Thank God for giving one more birthday dear;
He guides His righteous souls to live sans fear.
Happy birthday, dear Diana; God bless you!
