It is an age of scientific progress, A double edge weapon in human hands; If well harnessed, man’s wants it can redress, And meet the new century’s new demands.
Improve, it can the quality of life; But if misused, brings extreme misery; It can most men deliver from most strife, And help to uncover God’s mystery.
Science makes less things that it can well destroy; Man well ignores the existence of God; In many hands, Science is a tool and toy, And gives glory to man, tho’ made from clod. Man’s intellect mustn’t make him forget God; The Maker is the Universe’s Lord. 29-9-2000 by Dr John Celes Dedicated to Dr.Prof. P.R.Prasad M.D., (Biochem) IRT PMC, Perundurai
