Sonnet- On Insurance Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet- On Insurance

Rating: 3.2

The modern trend's to insure everything,
Like house and house-hold articles from theft;
As unnatural events, the world can bring,
And penniless, a man can then be left.

Even our life must be insured these days,
As accidents and diseases afflict;
Our profession too must be safe always!
As losses great, life can on us inflict.

Does man insure his soul from devil's theft?
What Policy will guard his soul's good health?
What is the use of soul with grace bereft?
The purity of soul is our best wealth.

Faith is the Policy all men must take;
And preserve soul from sins for Heaven's sake.
