Sonnet: Rejuvenate Me God, I Pray Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: Rejuvenate Me God, I Pray

Rejuvenate my life O God I pray!
My numbered days seem coming to a close;
My purity was high on my birthday;
My sinfulness is turning each day worse.

The world around is pretty and so bad;
With mind confused, my heart in anguish stays;
The Scripture's Word can only make me glad;
To win my race, I need your ample grace!

My human strength can't do a mighty feat;
I need your blessings Lord and mercy great;
The tempter tries his best to souls all cheat;
With God beside, I'm not afraid of fate.

Let soul of mine in purity well stay;
I have to pass with honors judgment Day!
