The farmer gazes at the sky for signs,
If rain could come within the next few days!
The summer sun continuously still strains;
‘To sow the seed, the rain must come, ’ he prays.
His field is ploughed and ready for sowing;
The seed was sowed and seedlings too are born;
The rain must come in time for their growing;
The cloudless sky fills up his heart with scorn.
But suddenly, from sky the lightning strikes!
And thunder comes followed by heavy rain;
The farmer shouts with joy like o’er a mike;
Aft’r all, God saved his crops this year again.
Let Heaven tell us when to do some things;
Let joy profound, then reign ’midst all earthlings!
